Integrative Primary Care Residency for Acupuncturists

This live continuing education residency is designed to strengthen acupuncturists’ clinical confidence and decision-making within an integrative primary care setting. The course emphasizes real-world clinical application, bridging traditional Chinese medicine with modern primary care considerations.

Participants will engage in case-based learning, diagnostic reasoning, and treatment planning that reflect the complexities of everyday practice. Topics include musculoskeletal pain, internal medicine presentations, chronic conditions, and collaborative care models commonly encountered in integrative clinics.

Course Objectives

  • Apply integrative primary care principles to acupuncture-based clinical decision-making
  • Perform clinical assessment and pattern differentiation for common and complex conditions
  • Develop effective, individualized treatment plans within an integrative care model
  • Utilize case-based reasoning to manage chronic and multi-system presentations
  • Identify appropriate referrals and red flags while supporting continuity of patient care
